We have tested and validated an upgrade procedure with minimal downtime, where nodes are restarted simultaneously. This can be very fast if well coordinated. There is no plan to improve further…

Add config option for bind ip for outgoing connections

Changing IP address of a node leads to a half-connected and broken cluster

I think I already had this issue, and it is generally fixed by restarting the garage daemon on other nodes.
